Our Ceylon Gunpowder features a greenish, full-bodied, slightly high-fired character. Gunpowder tea is processed similarly to green tea, but after steaming, the leaves are tightly rolled into small pellets or balls. When hot water is poured over these evenly sized balls, they unfurl to create a refreshing and brisk cup of tea.
